Maddi Waide is the proud recipient of the 2024 Pharmacy Assistant of the Year (PATY) award. With a passion for education, Maddi is not only a pharmacy technician but also an advocate for professional development in the sector. Since winning PATY 2024 she has completed her Certificate IV in community Pharmacy as well as Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Currently she works with the Australasian College of Pharmacy to help train and mentor the next generation of pharmacy professionals. Complimentary to this, she also works within her local community pharmacy (Lucy Walker – TerryWhite Chemmart Goondiwindi). Still holding a strong passion for Sleep Apnoea, Maddi continues to take pride in her connection to her patients in the community. She enjoys connecting with others in the industry and sharing everyday insights from the pharmacy floor.
