Luke van der Rijt is the managing partner of Uranquinty & Southcity Pharmacy in Wagga Wagga, which was the winner of the 2018 Guild Pharmacy of the Year. Luke is also Vice President of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia’s New South Wales Branch and sits on the Sope of Practice Sub-Committee. Luke has led business improvement and embedded professional services in his business, leading to widespread health benefits across the entire region through partnerships and consultation with health services and specialists. Recently, Luke has been involved in the establishment of the Living Well, Your Way pilot, a local PHN and LHD initiative focusing on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) screening in pharmacy, with the aim to improve care for people with COPD and CHF in the community. Luke is also a member of the Murrumbidgee LHD Health and Knowledge Precinct which aims to improve the quality and accessibility of health care to the local community.
