Katy Johnson has worked in the pharmacy industry for over 10 years in a variety of different roles, beginning her career as a pharmacy assistant at 17 years old in rural NSW. Moving to Brisbane, Katy developed a strong interest in the dispensary and was offered the roles of Dispense Technician, Webster Packing and Dispensary Manager before undertaking Stock Controlling and Retail Management in the same store. An advocate for pharmacy assistants and the importance of their role, Katy encouraged versatility and a willingness to learn within her own team. In 2018, she worked as a pharmaceutical representative before taking a training role with The Pharmacy Guild of Australia, Queensland. Katy is currently a Workplace Trainer/Assessor for the Australasian College of Pharmacy, where she continues to support current and future pharmacy assistants with their training requirements.
