Jessica Burrey is a pharmacist, rural health advocate, and pharmacy owner operating as part of the Direct Chemist Outlet group. With nearly 20 years of experience, Jess holds a special interest in women’s health and integrative pharmacy and is the voice behind @femininepharmacist, a platform supporting women through key health transitions with evidence-based, compassionate care. One of the initial Prescribing Pharmacists, Jess has fully embraced the rollout of full scope of practice. Jess is the Central Queensland representative on the Guild’s Queensland Branch Committee and a board director of the not-for-profit organisation Rural Health Group, which supports sustainability and excellence in the delivery of healthcare in rural communities. In these roles, Jess contributes to healthcare advocacy and policy development. As a mentor to full scope pharmacists, she also provides strategic and practical guidance on implementing services, optimising workflows, and leading effective teams to deliver impactful, pharmacist-led care.
