Dr Francisco Javier Martínez Mardones is a Clinical Pharmacist and academic specialising in pharmacy practice, pharmacist prescribing, and the implementation of clinical services in real world settings. He holds a PhD in Pharmacy Practice from the University of Technology Sydney and is the Subjects Coordinator for the Graduate Certificate in Pharmacist Prescribing, where he leads curriculum design and ensures alignment with clinical, regulatory, and evidence-based practice. Francisco is part of the leadership team for the NSW Pharmacy Trial, supporting service implementation and evaluation across conditions including UTIs, oral contraceptives, and dermatology. He also teaches in the UTS Master of Pharmacy program. With extensive experience in academia, research, and public health leadership in Chile, his work focuses on advancing pharmacist-led care and expanding scope of practice in primary health.
