Jalal Chami (B.Pharmacy, MBA) is an experienced pharmacist and pharmacy manager with 26 years of community pharmacy experience across Australia and Ireland, including six years in corporate pharmaceutical roles. He currently owns and manages a busy community pharmacy in Parramatta, where he successfully grew the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) to support over 230 patients, including a significant cohort on Long-Acting Injectable Buprenorphine (LAIB). Passionate about frontline harm minimisation, Jalal collaborates closely with the Western Sydney Sexual Health Clinic on HIV prevention initiatives, the STORR Liver Centre and the Burnet Institute for Hepatitis C testing and treatment, and the NSW Users and AIDS Association (NUAA) and The Pharmacy Guild of Australia to deliver safe injecting equipment services and education.
